How are MontieK flying tourbillons made ?
• Watch movements are purchased directly from a first class specialist movement maker. This movement maker with whom we entertain longstanding relations, has been selected on basis of the consistent delivery of reliable and top quality mechanisms.
• Design, assembly and most importantly, fine-tuning of the movements and other parts is carried out by our own experienced watchmakers.
• Careful quality procedures both before, during and after assembly are in force: amplitude, accuracy, beat error tests are carried out with utmost care.
• Watches are submitted to quality control devices rotating in 2 directions for 8 hours and checked on precision performance and power reserve capabilities with altogether 6 cycles being carried out for the tourbillons.
• Watches with movements, any other parts as well as performance which fail to meet with our strict quality assurance standards, will be filtered out to ensure that only those watches which pass the ultimate check of performance and quality, will be dispatched to our clients.

Is the cost of shipping included in the price?
Yes, all shipping charges are included in the listed prices. Watches will be dispatched directly by SpeedPost 3-day Worldwide Delivery. The tracking number will be notified to you by email upon the dispatch of the watch to your address within 2 days following our having received confirmation of your payment by PayPal.

Return policy?
Yes, a “7-day return option” is guaranteed. In case of non-satisfaction, watches can be returned within 7 days following receipt (no questions asked), subject to the watch and accessories being returned to our address in brand new condition and with appropriate packaging (charges for shipping & handling being at your expense).

What is covered by  the two-year product warranty cover?
We are offering an exclusive Two-Year Worldwide Warranty to give you peace of mind. Our warranty covers all manufacturing defects of the watches with “wear and tear” damages, damages resulting from inappropriate or foreseeable damaging use, or scratches on sapphire crystal, leather straps & metal bracelets being of course excluded from warranty. The warranty is also void for watches having been serviced or opened by any other parties than our workshop. We will pay for all shipping charges for watches returned to our workshop for guarantee servicing during the 2 years warranty period.

How comes that  prices are comparatively low for these Tourbillons?
This results from the organisational and geographical set up of MontieK. We ourselves are in control of design, production/assembly and merchandising. The quality driven and therefore labour intensive production of our watches is performed by a very experienced and specialist staff. The movements used are all made in China. Sea-Gull - founded already in 1955 - is well known for its expertise in the manufacturing of tourbillons. Amongst watch enthusiasts 'Sea-Gull' has become synonymous with good quality Chinese watchmaking. In line with our top quality requirements, our various models therefore feature the renown Sea-Gull movements.

What does a daily accuracy +/-15 seconds mean?
The accuracy rate of our watches is tested and adjusted at 5 different positions: dial face up, dial face down, crown up, crown down, crown on the right and on the left. For each the maximum tolerances equals  +/-15 seconds per day. The tolerance is measured upon the watch movement having been fully wound/powered. Our strict quality standards and procedures do fully ensure that each and every watch which leaves our premises, performs within this margin. Since +/-15 seconds is the maximum tolerance, your MontieK Watch should in principle perform still with an even smaller deviation!

How about the sapphire crystal?
Our sapphire crystals are scratch proof and provided with an anti-reflection coating. This results in an excellent legibility which is even more pronounced on the black dial models. You will experience a “handsome” blue reflex from your watch crystal because of said anti-glare coating.
Sapphire crystal costs 50 times more than mineral glass and owing to its density, it is not only stronger and therefore of a more durable clarity and beauty but it also gives the watch an appearance which is in line with the perfection of the interior of our Tourbillon master watches.
